A function of Accountant has just been opened in a Belgian company, located in the center of Brussels. It is for a permanent contract.
As Accountant, you’ll be principally responsible for payments as well as the following tasks:
- Follow-up of the accounting from A to Z (purchase invoices, journal entries, accruals…)
- Review and reconcile the general ledger, identifying and thoroughly investigating any discrepancies and taking the proper corrective actions to resolve them
- Monthly and yearly closings in stated deadlines
- Preparation and filing of the monthly VAT declarations
- Preparation of the annual tax return
- Periodically improve and document all accounting control procedures, identifying system issues and making suggestions for improvements
The ideal profile of the Accountant:
- You have a bachelor or master in Accountancy & Finance
- You have minimum 3 years’ experience in an Accounting Department
- You have a broad knowledge in the different fields of Accounting (AP / AR / VAT / …)
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
- You are ccurious, analytic and an Excel expert
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Operations is a plus
- You are at least bilingual; Dutch or French & English
