GL Accountant

The GL Accountant will be responsible for:

• Drive and supervise the implementation of new solutions
• Supervise tax filing and tax returns
• Responsible for statutory filings
• Responsible for local annual audit
• Check accuracy of deliverables within his/her scope within allocated time
• Validate provisions and accruals
• Monitor Regulatory changes of accounting and taxes
• Ensure management procedures are put into practice
• Coach the month-end closing activities
• Identify problem areas in the processes and work with team to generate solutions
• Participate in finance transformation projects at entity level when applicable (SSC, Opera, FIM, Mergers)
• Accountable for respective hub financial deliverables

Profile of ideal GL Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics
• 5 years of experience in a leading finance position
• You are hands on, communicative, analytical and result-oriented
• Very fluent in English
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of SAP
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS,..), laws, taxes,..
• Able to handle complex financial information
• Detail oriented, hands-on and ability to manage multi tasks, projects and tight deadlines
