(Junior) GL Accountant

The (Junior) GL accountant will be responsible for:

In this role you will be part of the General Ledger Team of three people, reporting directly to the GL Teamleader, responsible for the EMEA region of the group for the following tasks:

• You manage the day-to-day treasury activities and are the point of contact for all bank related matters
• You participate in the monthly closing activities
• Preparing VAT and closing documents
• Ensuring a timely and accurate legal entity reporting
• You are partly responsible for the analytical reviews
• Carry out variance analyses and creating an overview of departmental costing processes
• Overview of balance sheet and performing reconciliations when needed
• Tax reporting and compliance control
• You are regularly in contact with internal and external stakeholders regarding the financial reports
• Taking initiative with internal (optimalisation) projects

Profile of ideal (Junior) GL Accountant:

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics
• A first experience within general accounting is a plus, but this company is also open to train and guide more junior candidates as well
• You are hands on, communicative, analytical and result-oriented
• Very fluent in English. Any other language is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of MS Office
