Cost Accountant & Analyst

A leading firm in medical devices, located in region Aalst, is looking for a Cost Accountant & Analyst. If you have a bachelor or master degree in finance and strong communication skills, this job as cost accountant is made for you! The Cost Accountant & Analyst will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly reconciliations between the inventory management system and SAP financial accounting system
• Supports the monthly accounting process through the handling of data in SAP
• Follow up on credit notes and invoices due from selling entities and plants
• Support local controllers in matters of local transfer pricing methodology and documentation requirements for local tax authorities throughout Europe
• Providing backup documentation in support of monthly, quarterly and yearly SOX controls
• Coordinate standard cost update in the costing system for annual budget with Plant Controllers
• Main point of contact for standard cost update in the costing system
• Maintain and update transfer pricing rules in systems
• Cooperation with external and internal auditors
• Other ad-hoc duties

The ideal profile:

• University or Bachelor degree in Finance or related subject area preferred
• A first experience is a plus, but no must
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work within a complex and changing environment
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft PC Tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
• Strong quantitative and analytical capability
• Fluent in written and spoken English, each additional European language is a plus
• Can work independently but is also an excellent team player
• Strong customer orientation (Countries, Businesses and Functions)
