Medior Business Controller - Transportation sector

A new job as Business Controller has just become available for one of the most respected Service Companies in the centre of Brussels (easily reachable by public transport). If you have great analytical skills and are detail oriented and would like to take part of a great team of four people, this position might be a great match for you!

Your main tasks as Business Controller :

• You ensure monthly reporting (operations/costs) to give visibility to the entities and make recommendations.
• You ensure the business activities necessary for the closing and periodic reporting.
• You control, analyze and correct hours clocked in the SAP module in order to ensure the correct invoicing/charging of services.
• You carry out various analyses on the use of contracts (mainly outsourcing contracts).
• You participate in the preparation of projects in order to help define their business case, including the Opex impacts based on the Total Cost of Ownership method.
• You collaborate in the drafting of the budget and forecasts, in support of the operational managers.
• You carry out detailed analyses at the operational level in order to ensure the follow-up of the investment and operating budgets (CAPEX - OPEX).
• You provide support in purchasing files (business case, compliance with the budget at CT and LT and compliance with operational objectives).
• You identify and elaborate cost reduction and efficiency increase tracks within the different departments of the business entity.
• You identify and mitigate internal and external risks related to budget management and perform ad hoc analyses.

Profile of the Business Controller:

• Master degree in finance, management, business engineering, business administration…
• At least 1y experience within a finance department
• Excellent command of Excel, a knowledge of IFRS and SAP is a strong asset
• Fluent in French or Dutch and knowledge of the other language and English
