A company located in the city centre of Brussels is looking looking for an accountant to join our Finance Department. That over an amount of time want to develop towards a financial controller function. You will work independently and report to the CFO.
Tasks:
- Book incoming invoices
- Book GL accounts and adjustments
- Book bank statements
- Invoicing clients
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare payment orders to suppliers
- Prepare financial statements in time
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Prepare balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Prepare Audit financial transactions and documents
- Improving process
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
Profile:
- Experience as an Accountant (2-3 years)
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting the software WinBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Bachelor degree in Accounting
- Fluent in French and English (Dutch is a strong asset)
