Belgian professionals who work on a temporary basis increasingly seek a good work/life balance.
According to a recent Walters People survey, the majority of people are willing to accept a lower salary to be able to work closer to home.
When looking for a new job, 43% of the professionals identify work/life balance as "very important". This factor is even mentioned more often than salary (30%). More than half (59%) of the respondents also indicate that they would accept a lower salary for a job that is closer to their home.
Mrs. Özlem Simsek, Director Walters People Belgium: "Professionals working on a temporary basis clearly separate their work and private life too and commuting time is therefore an important factor when they are considering to accept a job. Employers anticipate on this trend by offering temporary employees flexible working hours and exploring opportunities to work from home."
